30 Days of Simple

No resolutions for me in 2010. This year I'm doing a project. But, because I am easily overwhelmed, I'm breaking it up and making it monthly. Every month, I'm having "30 Days of *insert really inspiring word here*". I do realize that some months don't have 30 days, but "28 Days of...." or "31 Days of..." doesn't have the same ring to it, so we're sticking to 30! And I know we're halfway through January, but better late than never!

This month is 30 Days of SIMPLE. Like I said, I am very easily overwhelmed. Chaos and disorganization make me grumpy. Extraneous items and thoughts stress me out. I almost always get insomnia before a big change takes place. It's not that I don't like change, but I have to organize it into the files of my mind and into the days of my life to feel comfortable with it. That's a little OCD, huh? Well, that's the way it is. So, SIMPLE is the theme for January. I'll focus on it every day and blog about it on occasion. I'm sure it will explode itself into my photography, too. I'll start the month with a definition of the word and end it with a new one. Maybe it will stay the same, or maybe I'll become enlightened and have a fabulous new spin on what that word means to me! I don't have expectations for this, but I'm hoping it ends up kind of cool. Simple and I are bound to fit well together. I just know it.

SIMPLE: pure and without distraction.

  1. I love this idea, I might have to steal the concept. Much better than a New Year's resolution. And, BTW, I love your photos. Any time you want to post tips and tricks on how you get such fabulous photos I will be all ears. If you want to keep the mystery that's cool, too.

  2. That's a great idea! And nice choice for January! Has it occurred to you that even this idea of monthly resolutions is 'simple', in a way? I look forward to seeing you journey through this idea.
