I know the depth of field is crazy shallow, as his ears aren't even in focus, but I still like the picture. Just being able to achieve the bokeh effect (FINALLY) is thrilling. Some practice and a lot more studying and I think I'll be taking loads of pictures to cherish for years to come!

Experimenting
My lens finally arrived for my new camera and I've been playing this morning. I must say, it's very different from my point and shoot camera! I'm getting the idea, but I still have a lot to learn! I think my camera and I will get along just fine. Lawson seems very eager to say "teese!" for this new camera, which makes me very happy! Here's a shot I got this morning while testing out different settings and modes.

I know the depth of field is crazy shallow, as his ears aren't even in focus, but I still like the picture. Just being able to achieve the bokeh effect (FINALLY) is thrilling. Some practice and a lot more studying and I think I'll be taking loads of pictures to cherish for years to come!
