Lawson loves his Mima. She held him right after he was born and took care of him in the NICU until I was well enough to take care of him myself. Dustin was around the world, I was knocked out and in bad shape, and she held his tiny hand when I couldn't. When Dustin's been deployed, to Mima's house we've gone and she has helped to fill the void left in his absence. They've always had a special bond and Lawson has been looking forward to Mima's visit for weeks! It's been a week filled with bike rides, trips to the park, scenic driving, cuddling under blankets, reading books and dancing around to the beat of the bongo drum. He even got to have her in his room at night! Slumber parties with mima and jumping into her bed every morning a bit earlier than she'd probably have liked made this trip extra special. Alas, as with most fun visits, they are over too soon. Tomorrow we bid Mima farewell, probably for the last time at this house. Luckily, she can't stay away very long and we'll be seeing her on our way to Texas in five short weeks. Thanks for making the drive up to our house one last time! As Lawson would say, "my turn" to come to your house now! See you in a month!!!!

I'm so glad your coming hear, but so sad too. I love this picture of your mom, and of your mom and Lawson. Hope all is well and I'll talk to you soon.
